Week 74

Hey!
What a great week!
It's just been so fun here with Sister Ereti and the wonderful people here!
This week I learned to try hard and to be patient for results.
It really was a good week. It's been beautiful weather here so it's been pleasant to be outside.
A scripture that stood out to me this morning was Alma 26:12
"Yea, I know that I am nothing ; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things ; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."
Christ conducts this all, everything He helps us to receive Joy and to know the things we need to do to help others.
A chapter that also stood out to me this week was Alma 34, all about why we need Christ as our Savior and also about the things we need to do to receive the blessings from Christ Atonement.
You should all read it, https://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng#
Look you can just click on that haha
Well All theses blessings I know are how God has shown His love for us.
I hope you all had a fantastic Valentines Day and remember how much Your Father in Heaven Loves You!
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 73

Oh my here we are!
This week was so great, of course everything is new to us, but we met some amazing people here in this area. Everyone is so nice and loving.
Plus it is beautiful out here!
My thoughts this week have been about change and progression and especially our decisions.
I look back and see how far I have come, so so very far, in such a short amount of time.
3 years ago I didn't believe in anything.
2 years ago I believed and had a growing testimony of Christ and His love for me and all people.
1 year ago I was just starting my mission, teaching people about the Savior.
Today I love the Lord, His Gospel and Know for a surety, with all my heart, that God is there for us all, He loves us, He knows us, and wants us to be happy.
He has a plan, a plan to bring us the best happiness no matter what the world says and its the Gospel, Faith, Repentance, Baptism, the Holy Ghost, and living that EVERYDAY.
I know this is where I need to be, right now at the time to talk to everyone I can, to bring them closer to Christ.
I love my mission, I don't want to leave and thats okay for now, I am here.
I just hope I can always remember these things, remember this all that I know.
I hope I can forever love what I love.
I love you all! and I hope you have a beautiful Valentines Day!
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 70

Oh my, I just counted how many weeks sisters get on their mission...its about 78....and look Im at 70! ahhhhh
Well The mission is amazing! I absolutely love all it comes with.
The hard times, the joyful times. Its all so fulfilling and I am sad the time is slim but I have accomplished so much here. I have changed so much here! I feel so great, so happy. Its amazing what the gospel does for our lives.
I don;t have much to say today but I do want to give an invitation.
For those who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; keep studying the gospel and about Christ life, and apply what He taught.
and For those who are not members! Take the lessons from the missionaries, email me I'll set you up!
I am not kidding the message we share about the Savior, Jesus Christ is life changing, its fulfilling, its truth!
I love it, and I hope I show I live. I hope I can be a good example of living the gospel.
Jesus Christ lives today and is what truly beings us lasting Joy and Happiness.
There is 3 things to Happiness.
1 Something to Do
2 Something to Love
3 Something to Hope For

and the Gospel of Jesus Christ supplies that all.

I love you all.
Hope you have a great week,
Till next time,
Sister Libbey

Week 66

Hey! Oh My Goodness it's Christmas like this week!!!
I am so excited. We have been caroling all week! And its so fun, and brings such a great spirit. We are softening hearts and finding the elect.

So I have learned I have the most joy just teaching and studying the simple truths of the gospel. Especially the Plan of Salvation. God prepared this plan from the foundation of the world. He knows everything and knows our hearts and desires, He knows what will come out of all our decisions. He just hopes we will follow him so we can return with the most joy.
In Alma chapter 12 I read today the plan of redemption.
"32 Therefore God gave unto them commandments, after having made known unto them the plan of redemption,.."
He tells us the goals he has and the blessings then gives us the things we need to do to fulfill them.
God cares so much, and He gave us Jesus Christ so that we can have an example to follow. He sent the Savior to redeem and heal us. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and I love this time to think of Him and his humble birth. He has gone below us all and has overcome everything! :)

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas!!

Week 58

HEY!
So this week was so great, we went to the temple as a mission and enjoyed the spirit there :)

So I just can't help but think of all the blessings I have from the Gospel.
Seriously the knowledge we have from modern revelation is incredible. We have the knowledge of God's full plan for us, why we are here and where we go after this life, many people have no idea about these things!
I just feel so blessed for this knowledge. We know everything we need to know to have peace in this life and to gain salvation in the next.
I can simple say I know what my purpose is here, My purpose in life is to learn all I can to experience all I can, to become as Christlike as I can. And then I am promised a eternal life, forever in happiness. Becoming just as my creator is because I am his literal offspring.
I love the Gospel, to have Faith, to be cleansed through Repentance because that's what constantly makes me better. I love Baptism and the Holy Ghost for that great promise that God will always be on our side to comfort and guide us, because of a promise I make with Him.
He loves us all soo much! SOOO MUCHH!!!
God will love us forever, He will be there forever, and if we do all we can here and now, We can be with Him FOREVER.
There is so much Joy there! and I am just so excited for everything that is to come, and I so hope you all know and gain this knowledge as well!

I love you all, take care and be safe this halloween!

Sister Libbey

Week 57

Hey!
Its Fall and Beautiful!
I love getting to step on crunchy leaves!
So this week we got to do a lot, my favorite though was going to clean the temple!! It was the best.

So my thought for this last week is inspired by a sister here in my zone.
TIME IS VALUABLE!
Of course it is a human concept but really what are we doing with that time we have! Once its gone, its gone forever! Of course there is more ahead but RIGHT NOW is all we got.
What are we doing with it at this very moment, so thats my thought.
GO OUT AND USE YOUR TIME! WISELY.
Use it to serve the Lord,
Serve those around you.
Use it to progress and gain knowledge.
Use it to change the world, your world.
Use it to be who you want to be.

I love you all and I hope you take the time to know the one who created you.
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 55

Hey! This week as been so much fun!
Things were crazy but we had a lot of fun, I love my golden girl. Sister Wilhelmsen. :)

So alright most important is the amazing things the servants of the Lord have spoken. There were so many great talks, I am just happy to know that prayers can be answered.
I went into conference with quite a few questions about various things, I prayed and told Heavenly Father my concern about each one. And each one was answered either by the speaker themselves or by the Spirit whispering to me. I love it.
Couple of talks that stood out to me:
Elder Larry R. Lawrence of the 70 talked about the things we need to steadily improve, How the Spirit can give us what we can work on it we ask sincerely and humbly "What Lack I yet?
I tried this and it works, I was given one thing to work on, not overwhelming but enough to pinch you into improvement.
Also Elder Devin G. Durrant, I loved the idea of ponderizing, we already kind of do that on our missions but now there is a word for it, haha. So right now I am ponderizing D&C 100:15, all thing will be worked out for their good if we are righteous and if it is for the Lord's church.

I'm sorry this is all somewhat dull but I really do love the inspiration of our leaders, of course there is so many more favorites I have from conference but I do hope you all watched it.
If not, just watch a talk a day!!! Like 15 mins each about....about. But I promise they are worth it, it's the words of the Lord just for you. He knows you and wants to guide you, you just have to listen.

I love you all and I hope you can grow from these inspired words.

Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 52

HORRAY see that week 52 thats a full year in the mission field. I've been in New Mexico a full YEAR!
I love it!
So this and last week were great. Had a little head cold but all is well!
We had a great week knocking doors and teaching. We also saw a great friend enter the waters of baptism.
I love the gospel so much, it beings so many blessings. I look back and my life has changed drastically!!!!
But here I am loving the gospel and Christ and all He is!! Seriously God is good!
He loves us soooo much He gave us everything we have.
Well knowing that many of you are probably stressing over school here is something Christ promises us if we turn to him.
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John 14:27

Love you all!

Week 50

Hey Everyone!
Well the week went fast and here I am again.
It's been good here up by the mountains, the work of the Lord is going and there is plenty to do!
I love it here and I love the people. So many great interesting folks to know and gain knowledge from.
I was trying to think of what the share and the only thing that comes to mind is the infinite power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Christ, He went below us all, meaning He has been in all our worst situations and knows exactly the things we go through. He can personally say to us, "It's going to be okay, I know exactly how you feel"
I know this is true, Christ has felt everything we will ever go through and can be there for us. To comfort and support us.
Go to Him! Turn to Christ in all your situations, He can help you.

I Love You All!
Sister Libbey

Week 48

AHHH! Crazy News. My Area is getting 2 new missionaries and I, Sister Libbey am going somewhere else!
So Sister Morco and I are both departing from the Manzano Branch, and have been saying our goodbyes, we leave early tomorrow morning.

In other great news Jon, who we have been teaching since early May, is now a member of Gods Kingdom :)
Something I think I overall learned here in this area is NEVER GIVE UP.
Don't just stop and don't give up on anyone. Be there and just try at everything and miracles will happen. The Lord is most definitely in all aspects of the work. He finds and puts people in our path for us. He nags us with his spirit to go see people that need a visit and the word of God.
Jesus Christ NEVER gave up on us, and will never give up. He loves us and sacrificed himself just for us. He makes everything right. He makes everything possible.
Just look to him I promise he will help and heal you! He healed me!
I love you all!
See you next week!
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 47

Oh Hey!!
Well This last week was great! All is well.
We had a few leadership meetings and our focus for helping God's work is commitment. Helping our investigators understand the commitments we leave with them helps them to practice faith in Christ. They are tools to act and find truth.
So my thought is what have we committed to do to help us build our faith.
Definitely the commandments of God direct and guide us what to do to progress.
Some of those commandments are to Pray, Study the Scriptures and go to Worship God on the Sunday. Each of these help us in different ways.
Prayer- a communication with the Creator. The source of speaking with the One who knows all Truth.
Studying the Scriptures- The sacred books with the words of God given to his chosen Prophets. A source of Truth. (Holy Bible, Book of Mormon)
Church- A place of worship to feel of the Holy Ghost and strengthen each other with what you know, a place to learn more for ourselves.

The common thing in theses 3 commandments is that the Spirit of God is involved. To Testify of Truth. God has given us the tools to seek, and He promises an answer to your questions with our efforts through His Holy Spirit.
I promise this too, when you seek for knowledge from God, He will teach and answer you through prayer, scriptures and speakers at church.
So will you all seek? Seek to know Christ and He will show you who He is.
I love you all! Now enjoy these millions of photos. We had a fun sister p-day at the Bio-Park. And a few photos that totally describe the YSA branch :)
