I have been studying Alma 41 and 42. There is some good stuff about God's plan of happiness and mercy. It is beautiful!
Especially chapter 42. This life here is a time to prepare to meet God, because of the Fall(Adam&Eve) we are in mortality to learn and grow. God's plan to help up become more like Him!
So we have Laws of God and Justice to bring punishment for obedience or disobedience to those laws. God sent Jesus Christ to allow Him to be merciful to us! His Atonement, was Him taking upon Himself all the punishments we would receive for our sins.
So verse 13! " Therefore, according to justice, the plan of redemption could not be brought about, only on condition of repentance of man in this probationary state.."
Jesus Christ already paid for our sins, and as we have Faith in Him and Repent, we won't have to take the punishment upon ourselves. This plan is what makes God Merciful! He loved us enough to send His only Son, Jesus Christ, who satisfied the demands of Justice. I love it! So REPENT! That is where you receive joy and forgiveness from God.
Okay Ill cool the preach talk. But I know that God loves us so He has provided a way for us to be happy and clean to meet and live with Him again!
