Week 60

Oh Hello! I am 21!
It's the end of another transfer....time is flying. And tomorrow we are getting a 3rd companion! It's going to be party, we will be unstoppable.
So my thoughts have been on the Atonement of Christ a lot this week. We had a Regional Stake Conference and Elder Oaks, Elder Robbins, Sister Reeves and Elder Corbridge talked to us from the General Authorities. Many of thier talks were about having a Christ centered life, repenting and simplifying our lives.
I love that making our lives and the gospel simple and not overwhelming ourself. God made the Gospel simple and we can keep it that way.
I ponderized this week the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 6:36.
Look unto me in every thought; Doubt Not, Fear Not.
And truly if we put the Lord in all our thoughts, he will remind us and motivate us to do all we can to inherit what He has promised for us. Eternal Life. It's that simple. Look to Christ, his example, his love, his mercy and we,
like Him, can live with God again.

I love you all. I know this is all true, the gospel is true. And by living it we can have eternal joy.

Take Care and enjoy your week :)
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 29

Hey!! Hope Your Easter was great, Remember all we have Because of Christ!
Oh my, and conference was so great!
So I just love that we get to hear from the Prophet of God, and all his chosen servants.
All 4 sessions were amazing, if you haven't watched them yet, watch it!

So out of all the sessions, I really loved the Sunday morning one. With some of the General Authorities that came and visited my mission. Hollands talk was so amazing, about how we can't celebrate Christmas and Easter without the ecknowledgement of the Fall of Adam and Eve.
Them becoming mortal was part of God's plan, and allows us to be here on Earth now.
I am grateful for the Fall to be here to experience and learn and grow.
We have a body of flesh and bone. We have the chance to experience things that help us to become like our Father in Heaven. Thats the whole point to become like Him, who created us.
None of that would be possible if we didn't have Jesus Christ. He overcame the Fall, we can be spiritually reborn, as well as Resurrected because He Lives, and went before us.
Because He Lives....We can have Eternal Life.
I love you all, and I hope you know and understand this, the Love God and Christ has for all of us.
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 15

Hello. I hope everyones Christmas was great!
Mine was so great and I just love this work.
Sister Garate and I have been working hard, and have been trying to stay diligent.
It is cool to see the Lord sees our efforts and really helps in the work.
We found a family we are now teaching and things here in West Albuquerque are just great.
It may snow here which would be so fun since I haven't really seen snow since I was 6.

So I thought today I would just share a scripture I came across that kind of sums up this season I think.
Alma 11:40 in the Book of Mormon
"And he shall come into the world to redeem his people; and he shall take upon him the transgressions of those who believe on his name; and these are they that shall have eternal life, and salvation cometh to none else."

The sins that Christ atoned for will only be taken away if you believe in Him and they will be taken away only because of Him.
You can only have eternal life if you believe in Him and are cleansed from your sins through Him.
That is pretty narrow and simple.
Belief in Jesus Chirst=Eternal Life
Our willingness to repent is what gives us Eternal Life, and Christ is the only way to recieve that.

Well I just cried Repentance haha but I can promise with all my heart that that is what brings true joy.
God wants us to be happy and His Son, Christ is how we get that true happiness.

I love you all and I hope you are setting good goals for the New Year.

Week 11 & Week 12

AHHH These last 2 weeks have been so crazy, I didn't even write on here as you saw.
Well on the 30th I talked in Sacrament meeting! It went great, Sister Beech, and I talked about the Hastening of the Work, and Gratitude that leads to action.
I just love the Lord's work, if brings so much joy and that is why I am grateful for it, of course I just want to do it more and more.

Well for this last week I am offically done with training!
And I am taking over the Volcano Cliff area!
I am so sad to see Sister Beech transferring but I am kind of excited to see who my new companion will be. I find out tomorrow morning.
So crazy right!?

On a spiritual note, my zone had an amazing training in Friday.
We talked about Sacrifice and how all are sacred.
Sacred things to you are usually in some way were a sacrifice.
It is easy to think of this on a mission because we sacrifice time and money.
We sacrifice ourselves to do this work, and that is why we hold this experience so sacred.

Another example I kept thinking about is our Savior.
He sacrificed everything! His Life, His Experience, just for each and everyone of us.
It was a Sacred Sacrifice, many hold dear.
"and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal.
And thus he shall bring salvation to all those who shall believe on his name; this being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that that may have faith unto repentance." Alma 34:14-15

I just love this, Jesus Christ did everything for us.
I know He did.
And I love this time of year to think about him and to Discover Him, Embrace Him, and then Share this with others.
I love the Lord and the peace He has given me in my life.
I hope you all take time to think of him.
Much Love,
Sister Libbey
