Week 60

Oh Hello! I am 21!
It's the end of another transfer....time is flying. And tomorrow we are getting a 3rd companion! It's going to be party, we will be unstoppable.
So my thoughts have been on the Atonement of Christ a lot this week. We had a Regional Stake Conference and Elder Oaks, Elder Robbins, Sister Reeves and Elder Corbridge talked to us from the General Authorities. Many of thier talks were about having a Christ centered life, repenting and simplifying our lives.
I love that making our lives and the gospel simple and not overwhelming ourself. God made the Gospel simple and we can keep it that way.
I ponderized this week the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 6:36.
Look unto me in every thought; Doubt Not, Fear Not.
And truly if we put the Lord in all our thoughts, he will remind us and motivate us to do all we can to inherit what He has promised for us. Eternal Life. It's that simple. Look to Christ, his example, his love, his mercy and we,
like Him, can live with God again.

I love you all. I know this is all true, the gospel is true. And by living it we can have eternal joy.

Take Care and enjoy your week :)

Sister Libbey

Week 54

AHHH well here is to a new transfer!
I am still here in Indian School and I am training a new missionary!!!!
Sister Wilhelmsen from Idaho.
The cutest one here.
Sad to let Sister Rackley go but she too is off to train :) So proud.

So my thought for this week is about personal revelation.
I am so excited for General Conference!!!
Women's Conference was so great Saturday all about our Divine Nature and this week I am excited to receive more revelation for myself as well as for the people we serve.

I firmly believe that when you pray and ask God for guidance and then act and seek for that guidance through Gods servants then you will receive it. So this weekend I hope you all do the same and search for the message from God that is directly for you!

Week 49

Well Hello,
Here I am in a new ward, a family ward in the East side of Albuquerque.
The Indian School Ward.
I love it so far, very welcoming and loving, lots of home cooked meal and babies haha
I got a new companion Sister Rackley form Ohio.
She is the best obedient and diligent missionary I have ever met. Super excited for this transfer.
So this week just got to know the ward and teach a few people. I love it. Its a small area, we can bike when we want and we are right up against the mountains.

One thing I learned this week is changes bring blessings. If it be changes in us or in our lives, it always brings blessings. I love the great blessing of a fresh area and also for the changes I have seen in myself throughout my mission. I have done through a lot to be who I am right now and I love it. I feel so blessed for the person the the Lord has shaped me to be. Look at me, I am a daughter of God!
I love it so much.
Well there is great work to do to I must go. Take Care and don't be scared of change!!!

Week 48

AHHH! Crazy News. My Area is getting 2 new missionaries and I, Sister Libbey am going somewhere else!
So Sister Morco and I are both departing from the Manzano Branch, and have been saying our goodbyes, we leave early tomorrow morning.

In other great news Jon, who we have been teaching since early May, is now a member of Gods Kingdom :)
Something I think I overall learned here in this area is NEVER GIVE UP.
Don't just stop and don't give up on anyone. Be there and just try at everything and miracles will happen. The Lord is most definitely in all aspects of the work. He finds and puts people in our path for us. He nags us with his spirit to go see people that need a visit and the word of God.
Jesus Christ NEVER gave up on us, and will never give up. He loves us and sacrificed himself just for us. He makes everything right. He makes everything possible.
Just look to him I promise he will help and heal you! He healed me!
I love you all!
See you next week!
Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 41 & 42

Hey! Sorry I didn't post last week its been crazy!
So transfers!!! Sister Morco and I are staying! 3 transfers together!
Its just been great here. Excited for this next transfer!
Something I learned and loved this week is the great freedom we have here in the states.
Well I hope everyone is reading the word of God, and is taking advantage of the great resources the Lord has provided us with to be able to learn and know Them.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! It was fun here. In the small town of Los Lunas there is one big park where everyone goes to watch fireworks and our apartment is two blocks down and we are on the top floor, and our windows face the park, so we had a great view!

Couple weeks ago we also got to go to Old Town in Albuquerque. Best shopping and history in one.

In the Book of Mormon the prophet Nephi prophesied of America and it being a land dedicated to be able to worship God.

We have some great freedom here founded by God. As the church says in the 11th Article of Faith;
"We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may."
I am grateful to be able to worship God. I am grateful to be here.

Stay cool this summer :)

Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 36

Well Transfers have come and gone, and Sister Morco and I are still here!!!
Exciting to be with a companion for more than one transfer this time!

Miracles happen! Thats all I am going to say...
just kidding so yes miracles do happen, so lets call him JW.
So JW has been through a lot, making leaps and bounds to overcome addictions and to get back to the Lord.
The Gospel can change everything. Especially the Restored Full Gospel. JW is after only 3 months of being clean and 1 month of meeting with us is now overcoming all his challenges and is soooo much happier.
The Gospel brings joy and especially FREEDOM. The Lord and His Atonement can make all things possibly, even to be someone you never thought you would ever be. You can become who the Lord intended you to be with the help of Him!

I love this work, and especially the Lords Restored Gospel.
Hope everyone is having a great spring day and don't forget the one who provided it!

Love,
Sister Libbey

New Transfer, New Companion.
Sister Morco! from Stockton, CA! The cutest Filipino in all the mission, may be the only...
BUT super amazing!
This week has been nuts, but so fun.
Don't have much time, so just know, I love this gospel, and I know that Christ lives!
I know He loves you and I and has given us living prophets to guide us in this crazy world.
I love the Lord and I love his work.
Take Care Everyone, and Turn to Him!!!

Week 30

Well Transfers are here! and I am staying!
Tomorrow I will be getting a new companion, and Sister Van Wagoner will be headed home!
We will see what these next 6 weeks hold in store.
This transfer I have learned a lot. Being a Sister Training Leader and just learning from another experienced missionary. I feel like I have just learned from the best, Sisters Beech, Garate, Haywood, and Van Wagoner.
They have all taught me to use my time here wisely, to not waste a second of this precious time serving the Lord.
I am so grateful to be out here, seeing miracles, as the Lord helps us find and teach people.
I know that this is truly the Lord, Jesus Christ's work, to bring salvation and Eternal Life to all, to Help Others Come Closer to Christ and to be a servant in His vineyard.
I hope you all get to experience, learning the gospel, coming closer to Christ and then sharing this amazing truth we have restored on the Earth today.

I love you all and I hope everyone is enjoying this spring.
Also I definitely love getting emails and letters from all of you.
Much Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 25

AHHH! Okay now this week was actually crazy. Sister Haywood is officially home in Washington.
And I got transfered! I am now just south of where I was, in the Los Lunas Stake. I am in a YSA branch! Which means with Young Single Adults ages 18 to 30. So over this huge area, a lot of south Albuquerque, down to Socorro.
I also have an amazing companion, who sadly is going home after this transfer. Sister Van Wagoner from Logan Utah. She is an amazing missionary and knows way more than I do. I have a lot to learn.
Side-note I just hit my 6 months mark, so for those missing me. I am a third of the way almost home.

But I love it out here, in the beautiful desert. And the people, oh man, I love them all. They are all childern of God, including you. And they all have spirits just trying to return to their Father in Heaven.
This truly is the Lords Work I am doing here. Gathering the Children of God. He is in everything I do every day! Especially here with the next generation of people in this world. The Lord wants them all, all of them to be blessed with the gospel. They almost fall out of the sky prepared to learn and live the teachings of Christ.

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I feel so blessed to have that as a guide. The gospel is what brings us home, all we have to do is live it. Christ being the example, all he says is Come Follow Me and you will return to me and our Father. Only through Christ can we return Home.
I know it and I love Him for it.
My only invitation is
COME and SEE!
Come see for yourself. Tell me if you aren't blessed for living the gospel.
I love you all and I hope for all of you  to return to your Father in Heaven.
Much Love,
Sister Libbey

The Gospel:
1 Have Faith in Christ and His Atonement.
2 Repent or Change to be Better.
3 Be Baptised.
4 Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 Live the gospel forever :)

Week 24

This week was so much fun!!
We had a storm roll in and it snowed! It was beautiful, and I made snow angels.
Those who know me, know I haven't been in snow since I was 6 and I had pretty bad experiences.
So this, was GREAT! So much fun. I drove...and that was a bad idea. But all is well.

I don't have much time so I will just update you on news.
I am getting transferred, somewhere new!
Won't know till tomorrow morning so you will all find out next week.
I am excited, a new place. But definitely sad to leave this amazing ward of Volcano Cliffs.
And sad to see another great companion go home. But Sister Haywood has fulfilled her work.
And I am glad I got to spend her last days with her. I learned a lot.

I know that God calls us to places we need to be, and I know although we are weak, He makes us strong through experiences.
I am excited.
Love you All,
Sister Libbey
