Week 47

Oh Hey!!
Well This last week was great! All is well.
We had a few leadership meetings and our focus for helping God's work is commitment. Helping our investigators understand the commitments we leave with them helps them to practice faith in Christ. They are tools to act and find truth.
So my thought is what have we committed to do to help us build our faith.
Definitely the commandments of God direct and guide us what to do to progress.
Some of those commandments are to Pray, Study the Scriptures and go to Worship God on the Sunday. Each of these help us in different ways.
Prayer- a communication with the Creator. The source of speaking with the One who knows all Truth.
Studying the Scriptures- The sacred books with the words of God given to his chosen Prophets. A source of Truth. (Holy Bible, Book of Mormon)
Church- A place of worship to feel of the Holy Ghost and strengthen each other with what you know, a place to learn more for ourselves.

The common thing in theses 3 commandments is that the Spirit of God is involved. To Testify of Truth. God has given us the tools to seek, and He promises an answer to your questions with our efforts through His Holy Spirit.
I promise this too, when you seek for knowledge from God, He will teach and answer you through prayer, scriptures and speakers at church.
So will you all seek? Seek to know Christ and He will show you who He is.
I love you all! Now enjoy these millions of photos. We had a fun sister p-day at the Bio-Park. And a few photos that totally describe the YSA branch :)

Week 43

Hello!
All is great here on the Moons (Los Lunas) and Sister Morco and I are thinking every week we will take a fun photo, we will try to be creative.
This last week was fun because we got to help a friend enter the waters of baptism.
Baptism is so key and I am so grateful for all the blessings it brings.
When it is done by the right authority from God, we follow the example of Jesus Christ.
We make a promise with God that we will always remember Him, that we will keep His commandments and that we will represent Him.
In return we are promised the Gift of the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God as a constant companion.
To guide, protect, enlighten and comfort, whenever we need.
I am so grateful for this promise, the Spirit is amazing. It tells me who I really am, a Daughter of God.
It guides me and comforts me. It is God's gift to help us through this life here on Earth.
Baptism is the gate to receiving these blessings, and it is a great start to the path to returning to our Father in Heaven.

Hope everyone is doing fantastic and is seeking this joy!
Love you All,
Sister Libbey

Week 41 & 42

Hey! Sorry I didn't post last week its been crazy!
So transfers!!! Sister Morco and I are staying! 3 transfers together!
Its just been great here. Excited for this next transfer!
Something I learned and loved this week is the great freedom we have here in the states.
Well I hope everyone is reading the word of God, and is taking advantage of the great resources the Lord has provided us with to be able to learn and know Them.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! It was fun here. In the small town of Los Lunas there is one big park where everyone goes to watch fireworks and our apartment is two blocks down and we are on the top floor, and our windows face the park, so we had a great view!

Couple weeks ago we also got to go to Old Town in Albuquerque. Best shopping and history in one.

In the Book of Mormon the prophet Nephi prophesied of America and it being a land dedicated to be able to worship God.

We have some great freedom here founded by God. As the church says in the 11th Article of Faith;
"We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may."
I am grateful to be able to worship God. I am grateful to be here.

Stay cool this summer :)

Sister Libbey

Week 36

Well Transfers have come and gone, and Sister Morco and I are still here!!!
Exciting to be with a companion for more than one transfer this time!

Miracles happen! Thats all I am going to say...
just kidding so yes miracles do happen, so lets call him JW.
So JW has been through a lot, making leaps and bounds to overcome addictions and to get back to the Lord.
The Gospel can change everything. Especially the Restored Full Gospel. JW is after only 3 months of being clean and 1 month of meeting with us is now overcoming all his challenges and is soooo much happier.
The Gospel brings joy and especially FREEDOM. The Lord and His Atonement can make all things possibly, even to be someone you never thought you would ever be. You can become who the Lord intended you to be with the help of Him!

I love this work, and especially the Lords Restored Gospel.
Hope everyone is having a great spring day and don't forget the one who provided it!

Love,
Sister Libbey

Week 33 & 34

Sorry I am so terrible I didn't blog last week.
But Things here are amazing. We went to the zoo as a Sister P-Day.
We had loads of fun, and we have MLC (Mission Leadership Council) and had some great trainings on talking to people. We have seen many miracles from that.

So its a thing to just be scared of talking to strangers, I mean we were all told growing up to not talk to them so now being that we need to talk to everyone it is weird! haha I love it though, don't be a stranger and then it isn't weird. Everyone here is so nice, and if they aren't they miss out on our great message but someday they will get it.

We are all children of God, no one is a stranger, we all once knew each other and we all come from the same family. The Family of God :)

Well I really don't have much else to share but just don't be a stranger and talk to other people tell them who you are, and what you believe, you will be surprise who enjoys your conversation the most.

Love you all!
